Problem

In the current ridesharing landscape, users face a persistent challenge as traditional apps fail to provide a comprehensive solution for both riders and vehicle owners, particularly those with autonomous vehicles (AVs). Safety concerns, skepticism surrounding AVs, and a lack of flexibility for vehicle owners are key issues, contributing to a suboptimal rideshare experience. Additionally, existing platforms do not adequately address the unique needs of riders who seek autonomy, security, and cleanliness during their journeys.

Solution

To address the challenges faced by powersports dealers, we propose a comprehensive solution: a unified platform that consolidates customer data management, financing information capture, and sales pipeline oversight. This user-centric solution aims to streamline processes for dealers, providing an integrated and efficient system. By implementing this solution, we aim to empower dealers with a seamless, end-to-end experience, enhancing record-keeping, and providing deeper insights into customer history.

Assumptions + strategic notes

  1. Addressing skepticism around AV safety, this case study operates under the assumption that autonomous vehicles, approved to operate without a driver, have been deemed safe.

  2. Distinguishing itself from traditional rideshare apps that impose substantial commissions, Mume strategically targets current AV owners as its primary user base. The marketing strategy focuses on attracting those seeking additional passive income rather than catering to discontented Uber drivers unfamiliar with commission-related frustrations.
